We want every learner at Knights Training Academy to feel safe, supported and able to speak up. If something doesn’t feel right, whether it’s happening at work, at home, online or during your learning, we’re here to help.

WHAT IS SAFEGUARDING?

What does safeguarding mean?

Safeguarding is about protecting your health, wellbeing and safety while making sure you are treated with respect. At Knights Training Academy, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We want you to feel confident speaking to us about anything that is worrying you whether it relates to your learning, workplace, home life or something happening online.
Feeling Safe
Protection from abuse, neglect, bullying, harassment and exploitation.
Online Safety
Helping you stay safe online, including social media, scams and inappropriate content.
Wellbeing
Supporting you when something is affecting your mental health, wellbeing or ability to learn.
Prevent
Helping protect learners from radicalisation, extremism and harmful influences.

When should I speak to someone?

You don’t need to be certain that something is wrong before speaking to us. If something is worrying you, making you feel unsafe or affecting your wellbeing, tell us.
Bullying or Harassment
If you’re being bullied, threatened, intimidated or treated unfairly at work, during learning or online.
Abuse or Neglect
If you’re experiencing, witnessing or worried about physical, emotional, sexual or financial abuse or neglect.
Mental Health & Wellbeing
If you’re struggling with your mental health, feeling overwhelmed or worried about someone else.
Online Safety
If you’re experiencing online abuse, grooming, scams, threats, unwanted contact or inappropriate content.
Radicalisation & Extremism
If you’re concerned that you or someone else is being influenced or pressured towards extremist views or activity.
Anything That Doesn’t Feel Right
You can speak to us about any concern. You won’t be wasting our time by asking for help.
