How long does the Content Creator apprenticeship take?
The apprenticeship typically takes around 15 months to complete, followed by the end-point assessment period. The exact duration may vary depending on the apprentice's starting point, experience and individual training plan.
How is the apprenticeship delivered?
KTA delivers the apprenticeship through structured online learning alongside practical development in the workplace. Apprentices receive regular tutor support and apply their learning by planning, creating, producing and evaluating real content within their organisation.
Do I need to already work in a content role?
Yes. You need to be employed in a suitable role that provides opportunities to develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by the apprenticeship. This could include content creation, digital media, social media, communications or another suitable creative role.
Can an existing employee do this apprenticeship?
Yes. The apprenticeship can be used to develop an eligible existing employee as well as someone recruited into a new role. Their job must provide appropriate opportunities to create content and develop the requirements of the apprenticeship.
Is there an age limit?
There is no general upper age limit for an apprenticeship. Apprenticeships can support people beginning their creative career as well as existing employees developing new skills or taking on greater responsibility. Eligibility will be checked before enrolment.
What are the English and maths requirements?
English and maths requirements depend on the apprentice's age, prior qualifications and circumstances. KTA will review existing qualifications during enrolment and confirm whether any additional English or maths development is required as part of the apprenticeship.
How is the apprenticeship funded?
Apprenticeship training is funded through the apprenticeship funding system. The amount of government funding available and any employer contribution will depend on the employer's and apprentice's circumstances and the funding rules in place at the apprentice's start date. KTA will confirm the funding position before enrolment.
How is the apprenticeship assessed?
At the end of the training period, apprentices complete an independent end-point assessment. This includes an evaluation of a content project or campaign and a professional discussion supported by evidence developed during the apprenticeship.
What will I receive when I complete the apprenticeship?
After successfully completing the programme and end-point assessment, you will achieve the Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship and receive your apprenticeship certificate.
Do I need professional camera or video equipment?
